Working Wives & Bachelorettes: Here We Go, Steelers! Here We Go!

Even though I born and raised in Ohio, I was a member of a Steelers-loving family. I was even brought home from the hospital in a Steelers sleeper. No pink frills for me!

The Steelers have the biggest female fan base in the NFL. And it is definitely obvious. They take care of this group of women. One of the ways they do this is by hosting events for women only. My mom and I went to Steeler's Women's Training Camp. It is a one day camp where we get to learn about football and also how to play football. This was the fourth time that we participated. Check out the video!

The drills are run by Steelers alumni and a couple of current players. This year, Kordell Stewart, Jeff Hartings, and Jason Gildon were the lucky alumni who dealt with over 300 women as they attempted to play football. Greg Warren and Shaun Suisham taught us about kicking and long snapping. And I happy to say that my group, Pink, was able to get the most field goals. I was not one who even came close to making it through the uprights. They definitely were not afraid to make us work.

But the fun part of the day was yet to come. We were VIPs on the field when the Steelers practiced. This is the exciting part! This was the first day they were in pads, so we got to see some football action.

The end of the day was quickly approaching, but not before we were able to get autographs from two current players. This year it was Emmanuel Sanders and Isaac Redman. They wait until the players are about to arrive to let us know who will actually be coming.

The whole day is exciting. You get to meet new people and cheer for the Steelers. And I can't wait to go next year!
